Ambassador: We remember Azerbaijan's strong support for Türkiye on July 15

Today is a historic day. July 15 - Democracy and National Unity Day was a very important turning point in the history of Türkiye. The name of the victory is Türkiye. This victory belongs to all of us, said Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgün at the commemorative event held at the Turkish Embassy on the occasion of July 15 - Democracy and National Unity Day, APA reports.

The ambassador recalled the support call from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during the July 15 coup attempt: “During the treacherous coup attempt, we remember the strong support expressed by President Ilham Aliyev, which showed the heartfelt backing of brotherly Azerbaijan for our country. It is very important that we pass on this great struggle to future generations. The heroes of July 15 once again demonstrated in the clearest way that the Turkish nation will never give up on its unity and solidarity, no matter what. As members of a nation that has always lived freely, we showed the whole world our commitment to the values we hold dear.”
