“I would like to thank Azerbaijan for its support and constructive engagement in efforts to build a more peaceful and stable future for the region stretching from Gaza to Iran: this includes the role it has undertaken as a reliable partner in strengthening energy security during the Strait of Hormuz crisis,” UK Ambassador to Azerbaijan Duncan Norman said at a press conference today, APA reports.
The ambassador noted that the United Kingdom continues to work with its partners to reopen the strait and hopes that the ceasefire will continue and the peace talks will be successfully concluded. He also welcomed reports of progress in the negotiations.
