Ambassador: There is confirmed information that an Azerbaijani citizen died in the earthquake in Turkiye

“There is confirmed information that one of those who died as a result of the earthquake in Turkey was a citizen of Azerbaijan,” Azerbaijani ambassador to Turkiye Rashad Mahmudov told APA.

According to the ambassador, there is confirmed information about a lady named Naila Bunyatova, born in 1980, since the earthquake occurred: “The municipality took her over from the rescuers. Currently, her body is being kept in Kahramanmarash. We want to learn the place of funeral from her parents, relatives from Baku, or here. If it is requested that her burial be in Azerbaijan, our state will help it and we will send her remains to Azerbaijan.”
