“Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel has reached the next stage. We have reached such a stage that, Azerbaijani embassy in Israel is opened,” said Azerbaijani ambassador to Israel Mukhtar Mammadov at Azerbaijan-Israel Innovation Forum, APA-Economics reports.
“Before making such a decision, as we know, there is another story. Last year, we marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Israel. Our cooperation is not limited with 30 years. There are relations between Azerbaijanis and Jews for centuries. Jews have lived here for many years. Azerbaijan has turned into native place for Jewish community for centuries. They have lived here in peace for centuries. So far, we have not seen anti-Semitism. Currently, multiculturalism is the basis of relations between the two countries,” noted the ambassador.
