"China is Azerbaijan's 4th largest trade partner by volume," said the Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei during a briefing, APA reports.
She noted that active cooperation between the two countries is expanding further, and over time these relations are developing at a high pace: "According to the statistics announced by the Azerbaijani side regarding cooperation between the two countries, the trade turnover volume for January-April this year amounted to 1.4 billion dollars. This represents a 37 percent increase. In this sense, China is Azerbaijan's 4th largest trade partner. In terms of exports, this position ranks 2nd. Currently, the parties are discussing ways to deepen high-level cooperation even further. This mainly includes green energy, digital economy, infrastructure, and other sectors."
