“Shortly, with the participation of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and our dear Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev, we will carry out the handover of the keys to the 250,000th house here in the Azerbaijan neighborhood,” said Türkiye's Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya at the opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan neighborhood in Kahramanmaras, APA’s correspondent sent to Kahramanmaras reports.
He said that the greatest thing that makes nations a nation is to be united in both sorrowful and joyful days: “On February 6, one of the greatest earthquakes took place that we can neither erase from our memory nor our hearts. We were tested with our children and loved ones. We protected the legacies of those who remained behind. We carried out the world’s largest rehabilitation process. The majority of the citizens affected by the earthquake are returning to their homes. Today, we will inaugurate 1,213 houses, 1,782 workplaces, and 1 school built by dear Azerbaijan. In each of these buildings, there is the symbol and warmth of brotherhood with dear Azerbaijan.”
Ali Yerlikaya emphasized that the Azerbaijan neighborhood is the seal of brotherhood between two homelands, one soul: "What Karabakh means to us, Kahramanmaraş means to Azerbaijan. Our pain and joy are the same."
