A meeting was held between the leadership of the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center) and media representatives from France's former colonies, APA reports.
The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the AIR Center Board, Farid Shafiyev, and the leadership of the Baku Initiative Group.
Speech by Farid Shafiyev
Farid Shafiyev emphasized the importance of the visit of journalists from overseas countries to Azerbaijan and informed the media representatives from France's former colonies about AIR Center.
“We have recently invited French experts to discuss bilateral relations, how this problem arose, and how to overcome this issue,” he noted.
Global Crises and Their Impact
Farid Shafiyev highlighted that global crises are currently prevailing in the north and south: “The Russia-Ukraine war and the ongoing tensions in the Middle East indirectly affect Azerbaijan as well. However, we are interested in sustainable peace and cooperation.”
Discussions and Questions
At the end, Farid Shafiyev answered the questions of media representatives from France's former colonies. An exchange of views took place on strengthening the human rights situation in the French colonies and conveying the voices of colonial peoples to the international community and international organizations.
