"In the past, during the period of the occupation of Karabakh, we occasionally heard from politicians in the United States, Canada, and the Czech Republic that we should come to terms with the reality of the situation," said Farid Shafiev, the Chairman of the Center of Analysis of International Relations, during the 7th ADA Political Forum held in Khankendi, APA reports.
According to him, despite these views, Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity.
Farid Shafiev noted that individuals who have committed various crimes against Azerbaijani citizens are being tried in accordance with the country’s laws. However, the international reaction to this is not unanimous:
"Unfortunately, there are calls for their release. Even the BBC has produced a special report on Ruben Vardanyan. Such calls are unacceptable."
