"Official Yerevan says that it has no territorial claims against Azerbaijan, but on the other hand insists on the continuation of the now-defunct Minsk Group," Farid Shafiyev, the Chairman of the Center for Analysis of International Relations told journalists, APA reports.

He added that Azerbaijan has strong responses to Armenia’s position on this issue: "Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan create significant obstacles to the signing of a peace agreement. Azerbaijan has repeatedly insisted on amendments to Armenia’s Constitution. Azerbaijan has well-grounded responses to Armenia's stance on this matter. Our demand for amendments to Armenia’s Constitution is not a novelty in international practice. There have been referendums on this issue in Europe as well. The Armenian government and people should understand that their actions are inconsistent and, I would even say, hypocritical. Official Yerevan claims, on one hand, that it has no territorial claims against Azerbaijan, but on the other hand, it insists on the continuation of the now-defunct Minsk Group. There are other objectives behind this."
