“Our goal is to increase the share of renewable energy in total consumption to 35% by 2030,” said Shahmar Hajiyev, Head of Department at the Center of the Analysis of International Relations (AIR Center), during the session “Supply Chain Cooperation in the Context of Green and Digital Transformations” at the 13th meeting of the CICA Think Tank Forum, APA reports.
According to him, the current share stands at 22%.
Hajiyev emphasized that the COP29 summit in Azerbaijan has boosted the country’s Green Transition process.
Touching upon Azerbaijan and Türkiye's cooperation in energy transit, Hajiyev noted that Azerbaijan’s energy resources will be exported from Nakhchivan to Türkiye, and from there to Europe.
