Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan - Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmat Hajiyev discussed political, economic cooperation and regional security issues with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar Ahmadian, the Assistant to the President wrote on his social network, APA reports.
"I met with Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Akbar Ahmadian as part of my visit to Tehran. At the meeting, as a continuation of the discussions held in Baku, we exchanged views on political, economic cooperation, and regional security issues between the two countries and particularly noted the importance of the North-South Transport Corridor," he noted.
Note that Hikmat Hajiyev visited the Azerbaijani embassy in Iran.
