We thank the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, for organizing the event, said Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Abdul Ghani Baradar, at the 17th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), APA’s correspondent dispatched to Khankendi reports.
Abdul Ghani Baradar said that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has now been recognized by Russia: “Afghanistan has achieved unprecedented national unity. This will allow us to establish strategic relations with ECO members. We are taking decisive measures against the circulation of narcotic substances.”
The Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan noted that Kabul’s foreign policy is based on mutual respect and beneficial cooperation: “We support the diversification of cooperation. The goal of our foreign policy is the revival of our economy. We support transport corridors, including the important transport corridor passing through our country.”
Abdul Ghani Baradar emphasized that the mutual support of ECO members towards Afghanistan is of great importance: “Afghanistan has become a favorable investment location for investors; foreign investors are investing in many sectors. I call on ECO members to invest in Afghanistan as well.”
He proposed holding the 18th Summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization in Kabul. Abdul Ghani Baradar said they are ready to organize such a meeting.
