About 1,000 Azerbaijani citizens seek evacuation from Middle East — Minister

Work is underway to evacuate Azerbaijani citizens remaining in various countries amid the developments taking place in the Middle East, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov during a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, APA reports.

The minister noted that the number of appeals received by embassies and consulates is around 1,000: “We have received requests from nearly 1,000 of our citizens in five main countries — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and Kuwait.”
