A phone conversation took place on May 1 between Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs told APA.
During the phone call, discussions were held on Azerbaijan–Iran bilateral relations, as well as the current situation in the region.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi provided information on Iran’s recent peace initiatives and its position on ending the state of war in the region.
The sides emphasized the importance of efforts to ensure stability and security in the region and to reduce tensions.
The ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
