“Today our negotiations with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto started. In the first half of the day, discussions were held on the development of comprehensive relations between our countries,” said Jeyhun Bayramov following the meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto, APA reports.
J.Bayramov noted that President Ilham Aliyev had received Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Peter Szijjarto: “During the meeting, the President shared his views on bilateral relations and the new situation in the region”
The Foreign Minister noted that Azerbaijani-Hungarian relations develop in various fields: “During the many years when the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict existed Hungary supported the righteous position of Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan highly appreciates the position of Hungary in the Patriotic War. A new security format emerged in the region. The statements dated November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021, put an end to 30 years of aggression, occupation, created new opportunities in terms of the development of the region. Azerbaijan has supported the development of the relations on the basis of principles of sovereignty of countries and inviolability of borders.”
