An event was held in Baku today to mark the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, APA reports.
The event was attended by Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Lu Mei, Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev, deputies of the Milli Majlis, a number of foreign ambassadors and attachés, as well as other officials.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthems of Azerbaijan and China.
Then, Chinese Ambassador Lu Mei made a speech and spoke about the strength of the close cooperation between our countries and the work done within the framework of this cooperation.
The ambassador was followed by a speech by Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev.
Touching on the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China, Shahin Mustafayev said that our relations have entered a new stage in various fields and are gradually deepening.
The event ended with an artistic part.
