On September 12, 2025, the 4th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held in Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Security Council told APA.
A delegation led by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ramil Usubov, participated in the event.
The meeting, which was attended by representatives from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and the Secretariat of the Organization of Turkic States, included discussions on the rapid global changes occurring today. In particular, there was an exchange of views on the measures taken in the territories of the member states of the Organization to combat terrorism, extremism, separatism, cybercrime, and other challenges, as well as on the impact of developments in the Syrian Arab Republic and the situation in Afghanistan on the security and stability of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, along with other current topics.
The Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ramil Usubov, delivered a speech on the discussed issues.
In other speeches and discussions, representatives of the brotherly countries emphasized the importance of further strengthening cooperation between the relevant bodies in the mentioned areas, the necessity of effective collaboration regarding existing threats, and highlighted the importance of enhancing information exchange and mutual experience sharing, conducting joint trainings and exercises, and forming a unified stance at the international level in the fight against the increasing modern challenges and threats.
On the same day, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, received the heads of the delegations participating in the 4th meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the member states of the OTS, which holds an important place in the architecture of regional and international stability.
The leader of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized that today the cooperation of the friendly and brotherly states, members of the OTS, which plays a significant role in the architecture of regional and international stability, encompasses a wide range of areas from foreign policy, trade, energy, and the "green economy" to tourism, digitalization, and even space research.
He expressed confidence that this meeting of the Secretaries of the Security Councils will contribute to strengthening cooperation between our countries and enhancing stability within the Turkic states region.
