As of October 1, 2025, 86.9 percent of the 1,653,132 taxpayers registered in Azerbaijan were individuals, 13.1 percent were legal entities and other organizations, the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy told APA-Economics.
It was noted that compared to the corresponding period of last year, the total number of taxpayers increased by 4.8 percent, including the number of individuals by 4.5, and the number of legal entities by 7.2 percent.
The number of registered commercial entities as of October 1 increased by 7.8 percent compared to the corresponding period of last year, amounting to 200,806 units.
In January-September 2025, 10,724 units of commercial entities passed state registration, of which 88.5 percent (9,491) were with local investment, and 11.5 percent (1,233) were with foreign investment.
91.9 percent of state-registered commercial legal entities were established in the form of limited liability companies, 1.1 percent were joint-stock companies, 1.1 percent were established in the form of cooperatives, etc.
85 percent of commercial entities were registered electronically. The share of e-registration of limited liability companies with local investment was 96.3 percent.
