In January-September of 2023, the volume of foreign direct investments attracted to the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to 4 billion 372.2 million dollars, APA-Economics reports citing the Central Bank.
This figure is 4.5% or 205.6 million dollars less compared to the same period of the previous year. In the corresponding period of 2022, the volume of foreign direct investments attracted to the economy of Azerbaijan amounted to 4 billion 577.8 million dollars.
Note that most foreign investments in Azerbaijan came from Great Britain and Türkiye. During the reporting period, Great Britain invested 1 billion 367 million dollars, while Türkiye invested 872.9 million dollars, which are respectively 8.2% and 16% more in yearly comparison.
