Mass loss of livestock in Masalli

Livestock in Tekle village, the region of Masalli died of jaundice, local municipality chief Semedaga Hemidov told APA’s bureau.
He said that over 30 cattle and sheep have died within the last 15 days. Residents took a dead lamb to the veterinarian and examined it. The analysis proved that the livestock died of jaundice. He said that no measures on precautions and vaccine have been taken so far.
“People sell the sick cattle and the jaundice spreads in this way�, he said.
It was impossible to get more information from Masalli Veterinary Office chief Shefayet Agayeva.
Yolchu Khanveli, chief of the information service department of the Ministry of Agriculture, stated that the experts have been sent to the region. They will find out the reason of the mass loss and examine the sample in the laboratory. /APA/
