The Ukrainian army has carried out another series of successful strikes on strategic facilities belonging to Russia’s military-industrial complex, APA reports, citing the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the report, during the night of October 29, Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted two oil refineries supplying fuel to the Russian army. Explosions and fires were recorded in the affected areas.

It was reported that the Novospassky Oil Refinery, located in the settlement of Novospasskoye, Ulyanovsk region, was destroyed. The plant, which is part of the Prominvest holding, had an annual refining capacity of about 600,000 tons of oil — approximately 0.2% of Russia’s total refining volume. The refinery produced gasoline, diesel fuel, and fuel oil for both domestic consumption and export.

Additionally, the Mariysky Oil Refinery in the village of Tabashino, Mari El Republic, was also struck. The attack caused explosions and a major fire at the site. The plant had an annual processing capacity of 1.3 million tons, representing 0.5% of Russia’s total refining capacity.

Furthermore, the Budennovsk Gas Processing Plant in Stavropol Krai was hit by Ukrainian drones overnight. A direct strike reportedly targeted the GPU-1 production unit. The facility had an annual processing capacity of 2.2 billion cubic meters of gas and supplied several industrial enterprises in the region.

The destruction of these facilities is said to have significantly weakened Russia’s ability to sustain its military operations.
