A Ukrainian delegation arrived in the United States on Saturday for talks on a potential peace agreement, according to Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine’s military intelligence, on Jan. 17, APA reports, citing nv.ua.
Budanov was joined by National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov and Davyd Arakhamia, the parliamentary leader of the ruling Servant of the People party.
The delegation is expected to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump’s special envoy Steve Witkoff, Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, and U.S. Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll during the visit.
“We will have an important conversation with our American partners about the details of a peace agreement,” Budanov wrote on Telegram. “Ukraine needs a just peace. We are working toward results,” Jan. 17.
