The UK government is expected to introduce new restrictions related to Israeli settlement activity in the West Bank, The Daily Telegraph reports.
According to the newspaper, the measures are expected to be introduced despite criticism from the US administration and some members of the ruling Labour Party.
The issue is set to be discussed at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Andy Burnham on September 8. Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband is then expected to make a relevant statement in Parliament.
The Telegraph reported that the proposed measures would not include financial sanctions against specific individuals or legal entities.
However, the restrictions could include a ban on trade with companies operating in Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
