The United Kingdom has imposed sanctions on Aymani Kadyrova, the mother of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, APA reports, citing the UK government’s official website.
The sanctions, applied in the context of anti-money laundering measures, include asset freezes and investment restrictions.
The UK government has accused 11 individuals and entities subject to the sanctions of activities that threaten Ukraine’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence.
Those targeted include the Akhmat Kadyrov Foundation and Aymani Kadyrova. In addition, Leyla Fazliyeva, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan, has also been sanctioned.
