Reconstruction of a railway section leading to the city of Gyumri has begun in Türkiye. This was reported by Erduğer Toptaş, mayor of the town of Akyaka, News.am reports.
According to him, the restoration work will take about two to three months. A tender for the construction has already been announced, including for a dirt road from Akyaka to Gyumri.
Toptaş stated that the restoration of the railway infrastructure would bring economic benefits to both countries and open up opportunities for cooperation in agriculture and industry.
