A drone violated Romania’s national airspace during Russia’s attack on Ukraine overnight, APA reports, citing Romania’s Ministry of Defense.
Radar systems detected the drone, after which contact with the device was lost southeast of the village of Chilia Veche, near the border.
Recall that Romania shares a 650-kilometer land border with Ukraine. Since the beginning of the Russia–Ukraine conflict, there have been multiple cases of Russian drones violating Romania’s airspace and debris falling on its territory.
