German military planners have prepared a secret five-stage NATO action plan in the event of a military conflict, APA reports citing Politico.
As Politico reported, citing a government document, Germany has already begun implementing the first phase of this plan.
According to the publication, the document details a military escalation model, from early identification of potential threats to collective defense of alliance countries and post-conflict reconstruction. It also states that Germany is already in the first stage of escalation and is developing a common threat landscape and preparing logistical and protective measures.
The newspaper also noted that, according to the plan, Germany will act as a transit corridor for NATO troops and become a hub for supplying the alliance's forces. This, it is claimed, could make it a priority target for attacks using long-range systems.
