Ukrainian forces are using the Delta system, which creates a unified digital picture of the battlefield and is considered by US military officials to be one of Ukraine's most powerful tools, the New York Times reports.
According to the report, the system collects information from various sources, helps identify targets and enables the coordination of activities among different military units.
Delta integrates multiple streams of information and distributes target data among relevant units so that targets can be engaged as quickly as possible. The newspaper noted that speed plays a crucial role in gaining an advantage on the battlefield.
The time required to strike a target has reportedly been reduced significantly.
A commander of one of the Khartiia units said that previously it took at least 20 minutes from the moment information about enemy positions reached the unit until the first artillery strike.
The process now takes just three to five minutes, according to the commander.
