The Russian army is forming female assault units to compensate for heavy losses in the Pokrovsk direction, where major battles are ongoing, RBC-Ukraine reported citing intelligence information, APA reports.
According to reports, the commander of the Russian army’s 506th Motorized Rifle Regiment is recruiting women for assault units. This move indicates that the reserve of mercenary and contract soldiers is running low.
It is reported that women are used not only in assaults but also in reconnaissance operations. If an attack on a settlement fails, they are ordered to change into civilian clothes and, disguised as ordinary residents, gather information about the movements of the Ukrainian army.
