Lithuania announced confiscation of cars with Russian license plates, APA reports citing Teller Report.

Owners must register vehicles in Lithuania or leave the EU. exceptions include vehicles traveling to and from the Kaliningrad region in transit. Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Lithuanian authorities want to create difficulties for Russians and Belarusians.. The move follows restrictions on the disembarkation and embarkation of Russian passengers at the Kyana and Kybartai border checkpoints from trains traveling to or from Kalining rad. The move was announced by Lithuanian customs on March 1.

Lithuanian customs warned of the need to register cars with Russian license plates before March 11, otherwise they will be confiscated.
