Ukraine and France are working on the production of SAMP/T air defense systems in Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said following his meeting with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, APA reports.
He noted that security issues and a winter support package for Ukraine were the main topics of discussion during his meeting with Macron.
Zelenskyy emphasized that SAMP/T systems would be purchased using loan support allocated by the European Union for Kyiv and that work was underway on the future production of these systems in Ukraine.
"We are also working with our partners on the joint production of FREYJA anti-ballistic systems. We expect initial results this year," Zelenskyy stated.
He added that everything would be done to protect the Ukrainian people.
