A helicopter crashed on the border of the Italian regions of Tuscany and Liguria, APA reports.
A privately-owned helicopter belonging to a private company, with only the pilot on board, crashed in a mountainous area in the Carrara region and caught fire. Firefighters and rescue teams were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was extinguished with the help of a fire-fighting aircraft.
Witnesses reported that the engine of the helicopter ignited while it was in flight. As a result of the accident, the 28-year-old female pilot lost her life. An investigation is being conducted at the scene, and the causes of the crash are being determined.
