German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul sharply criticized Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's calls for the targeted killing of 30-40 civilians per day in Gaza, calling them unacceptable, APA reports citing DPA.
"Mr. Ben-Gvir's statements are indescribable and completely unacceptable," Wadeful said during a visit to Switzerland, according to the DPA news agency. The minister added that the consequences of these "inhumane actions" would now be discussed within the European Union. "Germany will participate in this," the politician stated.
At the same time, Wadeful sharply criticized the Israeli Ministry of Construction's tender for a settlement project in the West Bank. "Implementing the entire project would effectively divide the West Bank in two," he said. This, he added, would make a two-state solution impossible.
