An explosion occurred in Kyiv in the morning hours of September 2 amid an attack by jet-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Ukrainian Air Force and the Kyiv City Military Administration.
According to the report, the Ukrainian Air Force detected several jet-powered UAVs moving toward Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
One of the UAVs was reportedly flying from the Cherkasy region toward the Kyiv region, another from the north toward Hostomel and Bucha, a third toward Kyiv, and another toward Obukhiv.
An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv due to the UAV threat, and residents were urged to take shelter. A short while later, the sound of an explosion was heard in the capital.
