The Kamara festival, which was scheduled to be held with financial support from the European Union (EU) in the Georgian city of Gori, has been cancelled, APA’s local bureau reports.
The EU Delegation to Georgia said the decision was made due to security considerations.
The delegation expressed regret that the organisers had to postpone the festival.
The Kamara festival, organised as part of the “Creative Compass Georgia” project, had been scheduled for September 26. A planned performance by Georgian musician Kordz at the event drew sharp criticism from the Georgian authorities. The ruling Georgian Dream party accuses him of insulting its voters through his song.
