US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director John Ratcliffe met with Volodymyr Zelenskyy at Shannon Airport in Ireland, APA reports citing Reuters.
According to one of his sources, the meeting took place earlier than September 21. Another source added that it took place while Ratcliffe and Zelenskyy's planes were being refueled. What they discussed was not specified.
The Financial Times reported this month that the CIA director plans to take a more active role in negotiations to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The agency's spokesperson, Liz Lyons, later stated that the publication's information was "not true."
