Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) counterintelligence, together with British intelligence agencies, has exposed British citizen Ross David Cutmore, who was carrying out assignments for Russian special services in 2024–2025, sources in the SBU told RBC-Ukraine, APA reports.
According to the report, the detained individual was allegedly involved in intelligence and sabotage activities in Ukraine. He has been arrested and is under supervision.
According to the source, Ross David Cutmore arrived in Ukraine in 2024 as an instructor to help train military personnel. He possessed combat experience gained during his military service and participation in operations in the Middle East.
Investigators believe that Russian special services provided Cutmore with firearms and ammunition to carry out “targeted assassinations” in Ukraine. There is reasonable suspicion that the weapons he brought into the country were used in the killings of Demyan Hanul, Iryna Farion, and Member of Parliament, former Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, and former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, Andriy Parubiy.
