13th Turkish World Youth Congress starts in Macedonia

13th Turkish World Youth Congress has started in Macedonia, APA’s Eastern Europe bureau reports. The Youth Congress organized jointly by Turkish World youth Union and Macedonia Turkish Democratic Party’s Youth Forum is taking place in the shore of the Ohrid Lake on the border between Macedonia and Albania. The Ohrid congress has brought together 300 representatives of 42 youth organizations in 36 countries with Turkish-speaking peoples.
The goal of the event is getting all Turks in the world know one another and cooperate in political and cultural fields. Deputy chairman of Macedonian parliament Ivan Anastasovski addressing the congress touched on the importance of Ohrid agreement, which was the end of the Albanian-Macedonian conflict for ethnic groups in the country. He said the rights ensured for Turks in Macedonia can be example to many countries.
13th Turkish World Youth Congress will end on 12 August. /APA/
