European Parliament rapporteur:  CIA had secret prisons in Poland and Italy

US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has secret prisons in Poland and Italy, Claudio Fava rapporteur for the CIA enquiry committee told the press conference in Brussels, APA reports. He said that 14 European countries participated in establishing secret prisons of Central Intelligence Agency.
“14 European states contradicting Geneva Convention helped the US establish secret prisons. Romanian government did not respond to the questionnaire of the commission,” he said.
European Parliament Dick Marty stressed the necessity of cooperation between council of Europe and European parliament. He said that the sources they quoted during the investigation are confidential and added that some materials were received due to the cooperation with Spanish and Italian relevant bodies. /APA/
