Azeri ships use Danube-Black sea channel

The ships of Azerbaijan use the Danube-Black sea channel. Ukrainian foreign minister briefed that his country intends defending national interests in the Danube zone and the Black sea shelf, APA reports. For the time being Ukraine has launched the Bistroye channel connecting the Black sea coasts with the Danube. 150 ships have passed through the channel working under experimental regime since April of the initial year. The ships have sailed under flags of 14 countries, as well as Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Switzerland, Malta and Georgia which constitutes 42 percent of those passing through the channel. The ships sailing under foreign countries flags not only approach the Ukrainian ports but also leave for the Rumanian and Bulgarian ports by a transit way.
