UN special envoy to Kosovo Martti Ahttisaari stated that his proposals for the future of Kosovo will be presented to the discussion of UN Security Council on March 2-10, APA’s bureau reports.
In his statement to Albanian and Serbian televisions Ahttisaari noted that “there will be a concrete expression which defines Kosovo’s status. He said it is necessary that mediators take into consideration the opinion of majority in the province. Meanwhile, the discussions between Belgrade and Pristine ended with no results. Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Drashkovich noted that only Russia supports Serbia’s position which is against violation of its territorial integrity, thus Kosovo’s independence. He said he disapproves of the wills of some European countries, including Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Italy and Poland in connection with Kosovo’s independence against Serbia’s position.
“Brussels and Washington knows that Serbia’s separation will cause the national outrage, he said. /APA/
