In September of the current year, the average price of one troy ounce (31.1 grams) of gold increased by 8.9% or 300 US dollars compared to August of this year, reaching 3,668 US dollars, APA-Economics reports, citing the World Bank.
According to the World Bank’s data, the quarterly average price of gold was 2,863 dollars in January–March of the current year, 3,293 dollars in April–June, and 3,459 dollars in July–September. In the third quarter of 2025, the average price of gold increased by 39.5% or 979 US dollars compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Note that the average price of gold in September 2025 (3,668 US dollars) exceeded the average figure of 2024 (2,388 US dollars) by 53.6% or 1,280 US dollars.
