An average of 80 tons of import, 5 tons of export, and 600 tons of transit-transfer cargo are cleared through customs by air transport per day, said Rovshan Mahmudzade, head of the customs post of the Logistics Center of the Main Customs Department of Air Transport, in a statement to journalists, APA-Economics reports.
He said that the transported cargo is mainly brought from the USA, European countries, and the United Arab Emirates.
The Logistics Center carries out customs clearance of imported, exported, as well as transit and transported cargo to the territory of the country. Customs clearance is carried out through the Automated Risk Analysis System (ARAS).
