The Second Tashkent International Investment Forum 2023 (TIIF-2023) started in Uzbekistan on Thursday, which brought together about 2,500 representatives of the business, banking and financial sector from 70 countries including Malaysia, APA reports citing Bernama.
The two-day event at the Congress Hall Tashkent City started with the opening speech by Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
During the TIIF-2023 there will be more than 30 expert discussion meetings, including panel sessions, roundtables and B2B negotiations, all of which are designed to reflect the investment potential of Uzbekistan and Central Asia as a whole.
During the TIIF 2023, a signing ceremony of investment and trade agreements is to take place.
Speakers and participants will deliberate on issues such as recession, trade finance, private investment in infrastructure development, tourism and retail, digital money, efficient government for economic development, investments in wind, solar and water energy, transport connectivity, strengthening the role of women in SME development and investments in education.
