In the first half of this year, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan continued to grow, reaching 501 million dollars, which is 4.2 times more compared to the corresponding period last year, said Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov during the 21st meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan held in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, in 2024, mutual trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan increased by 50%, reaching 470 million dollars.
“In terms of transport cooperation, there is a positive dynamic in the increase of transit shipments between our countries. We are ready to deepen cooperation in the development of the Middle Corridor/Trans-Caspian route, as well as to take advantage of new opportunities, including the prospects of opening the Zangezur Corridor,” the minister emphasized.
