From January to October 2024, the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan amounted to 393 million 832 thousand US dollars, APA-Economics reports citing State Customs Committee.
This figure increased by 38.7% or 109 million 832 thousand US dollars compared to the same period last year.
During the reporting period, exports from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan increased by 23.2%, reaching 107 million 747 thousand dollars, while exports from Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan grew by 45.6%, totaling 286 million dollars.
During this period, Azerbaijan's exports to Kazakhstan included mainly fruits and vegetables (such as potatoes, apples, pears, apricots, forest hazelnuts, cherries, strawberries, persimmons, etc.), brandy, propylene copolymers in their primary forms, pump-compressor pipes, passenger cars, and other products.
Note that the trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the first ten months of 2024 accounted for 1% of the country's total trade turnover.
Recall that, Azerbaijan's total trade turnover for the current year’s first ten months amounted to 39 billion 378.7 million US dollars, while non-oil exports reached 2 billion 807.5 million US dollars.
