Over the last 6 years, Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports have doubled, said Shahmar Movsumov, Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Department of Economic Issues and Innovative Development Policy of the Presidential Administration, as he addressed the “Customs-Business Forum 2025", APA-Economics reports.
He said that during 2021–24, Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector grew on average by 6.7% annually and its share in the overall economy rose to 68%.
"At the same time, as a result of public–private partnership mechanisms and the reforms carried out, the share of the private sector in the economy is at the level of 81.4%," Shahmar Movsumov noted.
