During 2025, a total of 102,500 new jobs were created in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
9.3% of the newly created jobs were opened in newly established enterprises and organizations, 89.7% in existing enterprises and organizations, 0.3% in enterprises and organizations that resumed operations, and 0.7% through other measures.
According to the data, 91.1% of the jobs created during this period were opened in the non-state sector. Of the newly created jobs, 76.5% accounted for Baku, 0.7% for the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, and 22.8% for other regions. This includes 6.6% in Absheron-Khizi, 2.7% in Sheki-Zagatala, 2.5% in Guba-Khachmaz, 2.3% in Karabakh, 2.1% in Ganja-Dashkasan, 1.7% in Shirvan-Salyan, 1.0% in Lankaran-Astara, 1.0% in Central Aran, 0.8% in Gazakh-Tovuz, 0.8% in East Zangezur, 0.7% in Mountainous Shirvan, and 0.6% in Mil-Mughan economic regions.
