As of October 1, 2025, the number of individual entrepreneurs registered to engage in entrepreneurial activity without creating a legal entity in Azerbaijan was 1 million 435 thousand 420 people, State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
The main part of individual entrepreneurs intending to engage in entrepreneurship was registered in Baku (26.1%), Lankaran-Astara (10.3%), Gazakh-Tovuz (7.9%) and Central Aran (7.2%) economic regions.
It should be noted that 76.4% (1,096,659 people) of individual entrepreneurs were men, and 23.6% (338,761 people) were women.
It should be noted that compared to the corresponding period of last year, the number of male individual entrepreneurs increased by 3.9% or 40.7 thousand people, and the number of female individual entrepreneurs increased by 6.7% or 21.2 thousand people.
