According to initial information as of November 1, number of economically active population in Azerbaijan has been 5 299,8 thousand, 4 984,5 thousand of them are employed people, according to calculations of APA-Economics on the basis of a report of the State Statistics Committee.
Number of economically active population has increased by 0.9%, while number of employed by 1.2% in comparison with corresponding period of the previous year.
According to information as of October 1 of the current year, number of employees in the country is 1699,3 thousand, as well as 903,6 thousand people work in the public sector of the economy, 795,7 thousand in non-public sector. 31,7 thousand people work in oil-gas sector of the economy, while 1667,6 thousand in the non-oil sector.
